I don't get the American Indian BS. Without Western culture they would be the same as they were a thousand years ago. They didn't even have the wheel, is that even possible? Did they all have fire? Do you all know that there is still an indigenous tribe off the coast of India that still has not found fire? Can you believe that? They can only maintain it from lighting strikes. They eat almost 100% Fish and fruits.

When you visit pueblos and reservations out west, they are so fucking low brow. Filthy dirty places, why in the fucking hell would you want to live like that if you have a choice? I was so dismayed and disappointed, I though Indian Culture was sophisticated and advanced. It is not. The food is also disgusting, they eat almost all corn, rice and beans. He said if it weren't for the white man, most Indians would be dead by 25 years old and dumb as a post living back 300 years ago.

Those trophies so proudly brandished aft and stern are human heads. And no doubt there were teenagers taken as slaves in the boat too.

Fort Victoria on one side of the harbour and Songhees Village on the other side that was originally further out but they moved it to be closer to the fort. Distinctive rocks at Laurel Point are a feature of the harbour to this day.

The bigger picture that everyone is missing is the Supreme court made its ruling based on their stated and preconceived notion that the treaties made with the US Government by Indian nations are in fact binding and legitimate legal agreements and have the full force of the Constitution behind them.

This is a foot in the door, so to speak for all of the tribes to force the government to honor their treaties and pay us for the resources stolen from our lands by white corporations.
