I read as post today from a congressman, cant remember his name but he said Cash is legal tender guaranteed by the us treasury. If a merchant does not accept it, you can legally take the product. Its yours.

Most all the stores still take cash, but it has to be for the exact amount. That is why for the last few months I have been keeping all my change.

Although a cashless society would be a wet dream for the government taxing and controlling, I don’t see it happening. No cash would mean that the government and the associated crooks would also be shut down on some of their own shenanigans. How would the drug trade survive for example, unless all parties moved to a gold standard??
