My bank (NC SECU) just limited my cash withdrawal to $2,000

I had the same issue with Fifth Third, Chase, and Citi today online.....technical problems...so they say....right. What happens when it ALL goes digital?

Cash makes up less than 1% of all financial transactions so many banks don't have it if everyone demanded it. And there is concern about viruses too.

If one was smart, they would keep some cash and coin in their fireproof safe at home. Then were than an emergency, they could use that cash when nobody can get theirs and the debit and credit cards fail.

You can buy whole cars with cash and the people selling look nervous about it, and when they see a pile of cash, it psychologically gives an advantage to the buyer. You may haggle them down, then when it's clear they have a limit, then undercut the price by $500 by offering all cash. It works most generally.
