The US has turned off certain products china has provided in the past.

US manufacturing has to ramp up again. NOW.

Thats where we will find the employment numbers turning around, and with having to pay us manufacturing wages, products will be more expensive ~

Has anyone encountered Lysol spray since the panic buying in March? I saw it one time.

And does anyone else see Mexican branded paper towels and toilet paper in their grocery stores? They have American brands now too, but also 3 or 4 diff Mexican brands. Weird.

Thank you! This time of year farmer's markets are everywhere, even in cities. Buy from a farmer if you can. Buy local if you can because you are helping your neighbors to survive. While you are at it, get friendly and find out where their farm is. You may need to know that if there's another lock down. Ask them if you would be permitted to buy from them directly during a lock down.
The best thing would be to form farming communities, but nobody seems to be looking ahead as much as I am and that has not started yet in earnest. The people who live near me do not see the need, not even the local farmers.

Also been having trouble finding items at Sam's. The spice aisle is almost empty evertime. I was lucky to finally get chili powder after waiting over a month for it be restocked. Can't get yeast. It's gone. Can't get chicken or beef bouillon either. Not available at any clubs in the Indianapolis area and haven't seen it since this pandemic started. It's currently $40 on Amazon but I hate to pay that much. Don't we make that in the US? I don't get why these items are gone. There was Mexican guy loading up half a pallet of condensed milk last week when I was there. People are buying everything up again I guess.

I've not seen anything low in stock except TP and paper towels once in a while.

I'm being serious and I do one big shopping every 2 weeks and smaller shopping trips 1-2 times per week.

Yesterday evening I was in Home Depot picking up Tap-Cons, stainless steel washers, masonry bits, and 2x4 and everything had plenty of stock that I could see walking up and down the aisles.

I have been looking for lysol since this nonsense started.

I just bought 5 containers at Walmart last Friday. They had plenty on the shelf.

I have mine from a stock up several years ago now.. never opened on purpose.

This could also be positioning for War.
If China anticipates a war they may be stopping the shipping of goods to anticipated opponents.
This alone will have a devastating effect on National Security (and the ability to wage war)given enough time.

I live in inner city Nashville, TN, we used to have amazing bee life in the neighborhood. All types of bees and wasps, butterflies, hummingbirds would come to my garden.

This year, almost nothing. It really pisses me off and is another reason I'm ready for a more rural home. There are still one or two a day, but nothing like two years ago.

Part of the reason is people pay these spray services to kill the mosquitos, and it kills everything else to. People are so damm lazy, mow your lawn and cut your foliage back. Three neighbors spray their forest of bamboo and weeds it is so dumb.
