Long time lurker, let me clear this up. In any corporate or legal document that's transmitted electronically (ie, email), the s/ (NAME), stands for "signature." This came about because you couldn't include jpg's of the actual signature. You can find this on the signature page of every legal document that's filed online. That's why the name appears twice:
S/ James Murdoch (indicates his signature)
and the second James Murdoch directly underneath reflects all standard business letters, where the actual name appears under the signature.
