If we all drove electric cars, trees wouldn't catch on fire like this..lolol.

You will note, that is the ONLY part of the tree with actual foliage that can burn.

It makes no sense!

They disugise those things as trees all over the city.

Maybe It's one of those incognito cell phone towers disguised as a palm tree that LA is so fond of, and the 5g setting has just malfunctioned...

I've been near large camp fires/bonfires.

I have never seen a tree catch fire at the top like that. Not with nothing around it that was on fire for sure.

These things are being set.

I concede it could be a blown up 5G tower, but it can't be ozone as the people on the ground would be breathing it as well.

That isn’t a cell tower... just because they make them look like trees they dont burn like trees!

it would be more unusual if the thick fire-resistant trunk of the tree had caught fire at street level. These trees' branches are quite oily and provide 'fuel' for fires.
