cool! out of curiosity where in the States are you from? Do your friends or family wear shoes in the house?

slippers, I have about 5 different pairs

One pair for each room of the house.

We didn't when I was growing up. If you did you would get a pretty good verbal assault from mom or dad lol.

I have a special pair for outdoors with the hard bottoms lolzzzz.

Most people I know in Australia wear shoes inside (unless they are asian). Hell im laying on my bed currently (above the sheets) and still have my shoes on..

I am assuming you mean in your own home. I wear socks all day. Not because of dirt, but because it is comfortable and keeps my feet from touching the cold tile floor.

It depends on the person or family who lives in the home. Most allow shows for guests. Shows are taken off if guests are on extended stay. Maybe because American life is busy and chaotic many times, therefore taking shooed off each time entering a home is ludicrous if only going back out shortly thereafter. Other countries may be more hyper sensitive to germs tracked inside, however other countries perhaps lay around on the floor more often. Americans walk on it. They sit or lay on raised furniture. Kids play on the floor, but their immune systems are robust and they get no more germs than when they’re playing outside. Plus we own vacuums.

We don't wear clothes indoors, they just have to on TV because the whole nudity thing but it's kinda an unwritten rule to remove your clothes when you enter the house.
