The second wave is due to winter. Even normal flu gets more contagious around end of October. Russian winter is most deadly winter of the world and so naturally Putin is getting panicky.

The Trump/Russia and now Trump/China disinformation campaigns are a classic case of point the finger at your opponent. Top Democrats and Republicans are in bed with globalist's who are working with Russia and China to put and end the America's power and influence in the world. The ultimate goal is to weaken the US to the point where an invasion would be successful. Every but of insanity that's gone on in this country and in the West in general since the 1950's has all been building to that ultimate goal. China and Russia taking down the West. When that's over they'll decide who runs the world. The one thing you can count on is that it won't be the billionaires and business leaders who were dumb enough to help them take down the West. Wearing a mask in public isn't too horrible really. I honestly wish more people would do that. In a proper fashion, seeing how masks cost two Rubles each it's not really a matter of cost anymore. To me, it is a matter of respecting those around me.

Its somewhat hyped but US has seen 200000 more deaths this year compared to 2019 despite shut downs and masks. So its definitely more dangerous than normal flu.

South Korea, Japan and many East Asian countries are handling it better than US & Europe because they are habituated to wearing masks and social distancing.

Putin is only following the second most successful model of containing the virus. The most successful model is better immunity in population which obviously is not easy to achieve in few months.

To be honest when I saw how Russia was being effected by Covid I began to believe that it was real. That and Turkey. Both I consider to be independent states to a good degree and would love to show how they quickly conquered the virus. The fact that they have lost face and are struggling with Covid gives me reason to believe it exists. It's definitely being used as weapon or this was planned and unfortunately Putin couldn't find a way out.

Shutting the economy was supposed to be temporary for few weeks maximum but except in east asian countries people around the world were lax in wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
