I knew an old guy who was taking like 1-2 tablespoons of minerals once or twice a day. Several of his organs calcified/hardened. PS, you do NOT need any calcium pills. You need D3 and K2 mk7 to keep the calcium in your bones. Spinach and carrot juice have more calcium than milk. I had never heard of VItamin K2 ! Might explain why I eat an entire tub of chicken livers once a week as a treat, am always eating liverwurst sandwiches, and go through 2 dozen eggs a week. :) My bones are absurdly strong. They should be... if you remember that there is enough calcium in one egg to build the skeleton of one chick (tiny, it is true, but still) - but how do you know? A Dieu vat |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79656607 Too much iodine can also cause a goiter. Iodine is well tolerated to pretty high levels. The body excretes what it doesn't need. Wrong. Please stop lying to people. You have no idea what you're talking about. I do know you can overdo it if you eat seaweed daily. There is an optimal amount but if you overdo it you will have to much iodine in your diet. This is what I read. A Dieu vat |

Quoting: COVID19 Should we not get these vitamins from natural sources... As opposed to getting them from "pharma companies"??? There are no longer any natural sources since we've depleted our soils of boron and nature depleted most of the land of iodine! The same is true for a number of other elements including selenium. BTW, an easy way to get magnesium if you have a deep tub is to soak in a tub with epsom salts. You will absorb the magnesium through your skin and can feel the difference. There is a natural source, and that's unrefined seasalt. While table salt (which is refined seasalt) is almost pure NaCl, seasalt has all the minerals and trace minerals necessary to life (according to George Ohsawa, the founder of macrobiotics, it has the same, or close to the same composition as human blood). Table salt is a chemical while seasalt is a natural product. I never use table salt, only unrefined sea salt whenever I can. It has plenty of iodium, there is no need to take extra iodized sea salt. This, together with seafood or seaweed in your diet will ensure you won't lack any iodine. The same goes for rock salt (the kind mined in salt mines which is basically the same as sea salt as it results from ancient deposits from seas). A Dieu vat |

Not sure I follow why they like it for that purpose, but since it has already oxidized, it is not a combustible material. Elemental sodium for example, is also wildly combustable, but NaCl can be used to put out fires as the sodium is already oxidized. Justme |

Sea salt does not contain significant iodine from a nutrient standpoint. (Unless it has been artificially iodized of course). [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] They don't put nearly enough iodine in iodized salt to begin with. And with doctors preaching to cut salt from the diet, they are also cutting your last miniscule source of iodine in your diet! We used to get a little bit of iodine in bread, as it was used as a "dough conditioner", but this practice has been eliminated and now they use Bromine to condition bread dough, which acts as an iodine uptake impediment. Then you have people that think they are getting significant amounts of iodine from sea salt. Not even close. I think seawater is 0.05 ppm iodine (that's 50 parts per Billion). Iodine gets concentrated in seafood, but seawater and seasalt have very very little iodine. Last Edited by JustmeTX on 11/24/2020 09:20 AM Justme |

It's helping so much with brain fog and energy. Occasionally I'll get to the afternoon and wonder why I feel so mentally fatigued that day only to realize I forgot to take it. Once I do, I'm back on. I've struggled with mental clarity for years now and it put me in a bad spot. This has seriously been a game changer and I've never said that about any single vitamin/mineral/supplement before. Thank you OP for posting and for everyone taking the time to comment their experience and advice. Long live The Republic. May it never be lost to apathy. libertyanalytica.com |

I have had leg pain, intermittent, for the last six months. I was told it was from advancing age, circulation, chiro said it was caffeine, chinese herbalist gave me some stuff to make tea...but basically nothing helped...except being irritable cut off from coffee. I read your thread and picked up a few different types of Mg. I also mixed up a liter of water with 7 grams of borax..upped my D3, added Selenium (one poster on your thread recommended) tumeric (anti inflammatory) and after three days...leg pain is 95% better. It is hard to describe the pleasure of walking around without pain in the legs, and being able to sleep at night. In retrospect, I see now that the Mg deficiency was causing the issues. Lesson learned. Thanks OP!! |
