Yes she had surgery today. Vet just called saying that she was just starting to wake up and we can pick her up in about an hour. She had a long stressful day. Praying the biopsy results come back as grade 1 and non-aggressive. Nef and I have pretty much decided that we aren't going to put her through chemo if that's the vet's suggestion. We will do our best with supplements and love and let her live out her life happy and not going to the vet constantly and making her feel sick.

My friends Rottie lived 4 years longer then the 'vet expected' by feeding her RSO. All she did for those 4 years was lie on her bed, eat and defecate and get snacks here and there, and pets here and there, but she was very happy (seemingly to me). Died at 17.

I'll be hoping for a good outcome as well. I understand about not doing chemo. It just seems like unnecessary pain on an animal that can't understand why.

Yes, the poor thing is probably so confused already about all of this. She was dropped off at the vet at 8am and they didn't even start surgery until after 3pm. The vet said she had 'explosive' poops prior to surgery. That had to be stress. She's never done that at the house. I refuse to put her through a horrible life just to keep her alive. She's such a good dog. We love her so much. I hate when she's scared. Breaks my heart.

Wow, 4 years longer is quite a while! As long as she's happy and seemingly pain-free, we just don't want to put her through harsh treatments. That's no way to 'live'.

I think I will start giving her RSO orally. I did rub some on her tumor for a few days before surgery and it actually looked a lot better. I was a little nervous to give it to her orally, but once she's recovered a bit and feeling better, I'm doing it.

Do please be careful with dogs and thc. I hate that this study starts with 'The US government...' but they do link other sources and I do know sadly that dogs are highly sensitive to thc compared to other species. CBD might be a better choice.

I've seen a dog eat an 1/4 pound of good pot. It was all f'd up for a day and a half. It was good to go after that and would eat more every time it could get his little paws on it.

It seems like cat nip for cats.

I've never made it, but I've seen it in every prepper thread I thought it may be fun to make some down the road to try it out. I've only been 'into fat' for about 10 years really. I was a 'cut it off the chop/steak' guy. BUt the foodie shows have even got me not puking on gristle! Just a few chews and swallow. Same with tendon...my gag reflex is somewhat diminished.

Just start her on a low dose, the same you took, you still have the rock i sent you? They can take more then me or you, but start small, watch her and build up. I will be making more soon, will send you as much as you need.

They did a great job with the neck incision. We still haven't moved her around enough to see the belly incisions. I don't want to bother her much right now.

She's still very out of it. Was able to get her prescriptions into her and she ate half of a boiled chicken breast and drank a little bit of water.

The humongous cone will go on before bedtime.
