We got a physical check last time too, but that year before we didn't have taxes direct deposited. Last year, our taxes were direct deposited, but still no stimulus yet, so I have no idea if they'll send another paper check or what.

Remember, the idea behind stimulus is that you SPEND the money.

Already had direct deposit set up with IRS. That’s the only way to get it immediately. Or if you get a social security direct deposit.

Yeah, I turned in my 2018 taxes on time, including my payment, only $99 I figured....which wasn't right, I later found out. My gawd, why do they make the process for filling as an independent contractor so damn hard. I have two college degrees, and I can't make any sense of their instructions, they're so convoluted. I did my regular taxes with ease.

I received a letter from them the beginning of last year - so they DID have my address, the mofos - saying they only received my payment, and not the tax return....as if I would forget to include THAT...

So I refiled for 2018 along with 2019 the beginning of July. It's been five months they've had the information they requested and I provided. Five months and no payment....

I've tried calling them numerous times. One time the lady said, her system was going down. Then that it did go down....end of that conversation. I swear, the way she was saying it had me feeling like her system wasn't at all going down, and she just didn't want to help me. I've called and have been told their phones aren't working.

And this is the IRS? The big and bad IRS?....they're fucking bureaucratic buffoons.

Yes, I'm going to do that this year....
