Who exactly is Baphomet?

So I've studied just about every religion and mythology on Earth. I've studied a lot of the Occult, but one thing I haven't found yet is just who is Baphomet and how he ties into everything.

He doesn't really show up anywhere else until newer age occult stories in the last few centuries. Yet there's been lots of reports of people that were at rituals where he's appeared. There's even a few videos that claim to be real footage of him.

Was he part of the Igigi, also known as the fallen angels? He doesn't appear to match the description of any of the known members, even though there's several satyr like member.

Back when I was in boy scouts, during my second year at summer camp I saw a goatman. We were playing a game called man hunt late at night after the sun had been down for a bit. Maybe 9-10pm. Its basically a game that's like a cross between hide and seek and tag we'd play in places that had good woods for it at night when at camp outs. I ended up going way back into the woods and came upon what was a goatman. I appeared to be crouched over a dead animal that it was eating. I had human arms and hands, but the head almost like a goat with big horns coming up out of the top of his head like a deer length wise and height wise, but only a single tine like a goat. I kind of ran up on it, and stop when I saw it and it turned and looked at me. Then it screamed like a mountain lion/man, and I just took off running as fast as I could until I got back to camp. I didn't leave the campfire in the middle of camp much the rest of the week.

You think there is a race of goatmen living somewhere?

Alien wise being mammal-like, it makes it seem very likely they are from the Annunaki's home Sirius system, who are known for a majority of the mammal-like races. Which leads me to believe they might be survivors of the flood. Do you think perhaps Baphomet is a member of some of the survivors of the children of the fallen angels?

Do you think the reason he doesn't show up early is because he's simply not that old?
