Forum Administrator 07/04/2022 12:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry Riff. May your cases be mild and short. It kind of never fails. When my 2 oldest were little, they got chicken pox from a kid in daycare. My weekend babysitter couldn't take them as she had a couple of littles that hadn't had them yet. I finally found the wife of one of the workers and of course, both kids couldn't possibly have it at the same time. It was one of the longest 2 months ever. On an odd note, I came on to see if anyone else's area is too quiet for the holiday. We have a very few fireworks going on around us, but nothing compared to the past and NO traffic here, either. We went to the store on the main drag and traffic was too quiet there for a weekend, too. Don't know where everyone went for the weekend, but they don't seem to be here. Almost creepy, but maybe they'll make up for it tomorrow!?! Pretty quiet here, but we are very dry. many people may be reluctant to do many fireworks for fear of starting theirs, or their neighbors, homes or yards on fire. Sept last year was like NOV 2020. the fall wave started up in AUG. at these rates by 2025, we'll b at 10 times the cases of 2020 with similar deaths. yet we have no masks, no social distancing, and drink wine and b merry. they are playing dominoes with the workforce and our services and supply chains. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has confirmed that samples from four Maine seals tested positive for the virus. The animals all died or required euthanasia, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said. People could be completely disgusted. On the drive back from Michigan. when we crossed into Texas, I decided to avoid the interstates and take Micro Mini through the small towns in the Piney Woods area. Did not see a firework stand anywhere, these are towns that almost always have one or two. Could be a supply chain issue from Chine, as most fireworks are made there? Also did not see the usual number of people in the parks, or out doing the usual 4 July family things. ETA: quote above from Woordie went wonky. Sorry.
