There are places a bushcrafter can slip into with supplies a a long time and last a long time. States all have issues, so it ain't about states per se. It is about firearm rights, like minded people, rural regions supporting fertile agriculture with 3 growing seasons and rainfall. Texas is off the list due to terrible illegal invaders. |

It'a all coming in pretty fast. Bankers orchestrating genocide at this point. Scientism sure is great fun eh? MT, unless, until, the Ice Age hits. Alaska, cut off civilization, you die. North Dakoto, it sucks, I worked there. Texas, I'm thinking about it, but ........ if Ed Dames is correct, not enough water. He personally told me not to leave MT. Who knows. I wouldn't go to ND. Alaska? If things to south and if the weather turns really bad, you die. Bonne chance mon ami |

Eric Rudolph hid for years in western North Carolina. He might have stayed there and never been caught. There are multiple places in my state where you can disappear. The problem is the locals in some regions would chase strangers out. |

Second, you don't want to be in any "target" states. Red is on the chopping block. Behind enemy lines, blending in like a ninja, is your best chance. Otherwise you are sitting ducks. |

That's rare. It has to be a warm place as if we ever had issues, folks in the north couldn't grow anything. Upper Maine has very low population density. You can easily disappear in it. Strangely enough Southern Maine in summers can get pretty hot. There are places in the Ozarks and in Tennessee one can disappear into. |

I'd assume whatever happens in the us, is worse outside of it. 3rd world corrupt shithole in Africa - no CV19 here if they did, being a non-socialist country they would burn it all to the ground if forced to lose their livelihoods. Few mask and gel demands in major (the club) stores, else life as normal. From where you are I urge looking at central Americas. |

If the nuclear reactors melt down from the pumps going out from no electric, then anywhere east of the Mississippi River will be Fooked with radiation... The Ozarks look good... I'm in Oklahoma just above the 1000 foot level. No nuke reactors in our State. Closest one is in Texas and that's over 250 miles away... Should be ok in Oklahoma. Just stay away from East Oklahoma in case the New Madrid goes active. The Mississippi River will engulf that whole area... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 61316644 United Kingdom 03/13/2021 12:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The deal is yeah you can hunt, fish, and trap some places, but even the best nationally known bushcrafter can seldom average 500 calories of wild edibles. It is hit or miss due to the maturity of the critter. So for many months, you cannot count on acquiring a healthy one. This means you need a patch that gets adequate sun on a fertile meadow and that is your primary provider of regular calories. Likely this means some milk goats too and also has a pond that is stocked, surrounded by trees (lots of oak for acorns and maple for syrup) so nobody knows you are there, and a reliable well. And good regular rainfall. You need two water sources. You likely get wild edibles from the meadow and snakes. You need porcupines, oppossoms, and raccoons besides wild turkey and deer. That meadow and the transitional area also provides rabbits and squirrels. All are drawn in by the pond which likely is fed by a strong stream off a hillside or a river. It things get hairy, you have a canoe and can take off via that river for a fast getaway. Likely you have clay and rock for building materials as well. Maybe the cultivated meadow gives you away some times of the year, but you have a ridge you can build a cabin within so it stays warm in winter and cool in summer so minimize firewood. You probably have a root cellar off that ridge cabin. If really lucky, you have a spring in that root cellar to chill it, and ice forms on that pond, and so it is colder than a standard root cellar. That is pretty tough to tick off each one like a checklist. |
