Great thread OP...kept me absorbed most of the afternoon. I have a question about Seal Team 6. I read somewhere or saw in a vid that they were on their way to go and help out some rangers who were pinned down when they got shot down.

Do you have any thoughts about why this particular unit, the ones who supposedly took out OBL, should meet such an untimely end? I'm guessing that it was to remove any loose ends because dead men can't tell tales. Have you known similar fates happening to colleagues that you worked with, ie being killed because of what they knew?

As far as I knew, OBL died from kidney failure in 2005. There are plenty of articles to support it that haven't been memory-holed yet. ISI chief claimed to have seen the body.
