If you could go back to 1992, would you? | |

If I could go back with my memories intact id.. 1)not answer the phone that day. 2)id tell her to just simply FUCK OFF and get the fuck out of my life. 3)I would not travel anywhere all year. If I did those three things in the first place I would have avoided 25 years of SHIT. JUST FACE IT.. We are ALL DOOMED. ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. NO ONE GETS OUT OF THIS LIFE ALIVE. |

Quoting: eyeDR3 If I could go back there as exactly who I am, I would! The music, the gatherings, blockbuster, malls, amusement parks in their prime, pre 911 by 9 years... Sooo many reasons. I could help convince everyone to not vote for Clinton and to push Trump to run! If I could go back to '92 knowing what I know now, I could save myself a lot of misery. Probably goes for most of us. |

Quoting: REaliZe Such simpler times, when a decade could be defined by going from 8-bit to 16-bit. I miss it. Yes! There was still novelty in the progression of technology. It wasn't all in your pocket. People weren't yet drained by interconnectedness of heavily adopted internet. There was innocence. It wasn't perfect, of course! Even had Desert Storm. But... It was the very end of the golden era of the United States. 2001 on has been a slow decline... To where we are now. :memorybanner: |

Going to an arcade, going to see movies in theaters and it was a spectacle, not too expensive either. The hair! The colors lol... It was cheesy asf but that's because everybody tried to be happy go lucky and PC culture wasn't a thing yet. Rap wasn't so vile, it was just silly. Baby got back was a #1 hit that year lol. We were still feeling the benefits of a post Reagan world, even though Papa Bush was evil and started us on the downward trend really. You'd be ahead on collectibility too! You could be rich by simply spending a few thousand dollars on things and not opening them or selling them for 30 years. Pokemon cards for instance, which can't 5 years later, costed I believe $2 a pack, $40 per box. They go for tens of thousands of dollars now. Sheesh to know what we know now and go back there with that head start... You could be the ONE to start rumblings amongst people about the coming terrorist attacks potentially saving thousands of lives, and reinforce patriotic ideals before we get to the wire... :memorybanner: |

There was a very solid family structure instilled in people at that point. Even TV shows were wholesome, even though yeah, shit want so pretty behind the scenes. The lack of awareness of certain things to many people, stopped as much of those horrible things from happening as often. People hadn't been desensitized and conditioned by depravity, immorality, perversion, violence and inflation. :memorybanner: |

If the deal were 1992 or nothing, and given that I would know what I know now, I could avoid some humongous disasters in 1993 and 2005. It would be nice to see Mom and Dad again, and others who have since passed on. But frankly, I'd rather go forward in time than backward. I look forward to Heaven and eternity. Obvious Alias |

I'd definitely do things differently. Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world. -- Abraham Lincoln The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion. -- Albert Camus |

I like to go back to elements of the 1970's. I do this with music, a drink popular to that time (Fluffy Duck) and maybe a rolled special smoke (So as to not have a hangover) and if I am lucky, Some one runs me a bubble bath and massages my feet. Ah, the 70's. Quoting: Wake up men You just inspired me. One way to satiate nostalgia could be to have themed parties. No smartphones allowed! Would anyone comply? But to even do this for yourself and channel the good that you felt then rather than the despair of reminiscence... Great idea! :memorybanner: |
