Quote: "El Paso firefighters initiated a triage and hazmat response after a plane made an emergency landing Thursday evening at El Paso International Airport with numerous passengers reported to be nauseous after being overcome by unknown fumes."

Quote: "Those passengers told ABC-7 that they smelled strong chemical fumes midway through the flight, which prompted the emergency landing in El Paso."

Note: Obviously not carbon monoxide, since nobody would have smelled carbon monoxide, seeing as carbon monoxide is odorless. Reminds me of an incident on the US West Coast, in Santa Monica, California, where a foul odor blew in off the ocean and sickened a bunch of people, and the authorities blamed that on a 'naturally occurring methane release' from Santa Monica Bay. Well, maybe there was methane TOO, but the foul odor was definitely something else, because methane is also odorless. Could be this plane flew through a cloud of poison gas. That's gonna happen from time to time. No way to avoid it.
