The carrier has been roaming the China/Phillipine seas and contiguous waters since mid-January. Nothing new. Carrier Reagan remains in port Yokosuka. No doom yet.

Referencing an imminent attack on Taiwan as getting closer most certainly suggests a level of impending war/doom. You don't have to say that exact word.

To be fair you did link to another thread about a possible attack on Taiwan that says for background. So you didn't specify doom per se, but you definitely alluded to it.

Taiwan HAS tactical nuclear weapons.
