I donated a few times and checked the box for "a one time only" donation. Every donor HAD A CHOICE. Besides, all donations did NOT go to President Trump. I learned that different Republican organizations advertise as "Trump-Pence," but donations were distributed among Republican candidates for Congress also.

I dont think many people know that. I didn't know that until I saw that the organization to which I donated, money went to Congressional candidates also.

I am positive Democrat organizations do the same.

And by the way, Donald Trump doesn't personally run any of those donation sites! It's dumb to even think he had/has time for that. I wish people had more common sense than to blame him for pocketing money. How stupid!

Democrat donation websites have the same options for one time versus recurring payments and no doubt have also had to make refunds when requested by donors.

Problem is that ALL OF THESE PIRATES make it

Every politician I remember, including Obama and Ron Paul, have that same form. It's all recurring unless you specify 1x only.

Why is it paid back if people had a clear choice of what box/option to check and chose recurring payment? That's on a lot of "product" options. It is annoying, but I always look for it and make sure I check one time only.

* Candidate workers set up their campaigns — opening new offices, hiring staff, buying lots of pizza, paying consultants.

* Other campaign costs —like direct mail. Media expenses are close behind.

* 45 percent of the money candidates raise wind up on local TV ads to reach undecided voters.

* Media expenses can also include print ads and yard signs.

* I do know that the organization to which I donated said "Trump-Pence." I found out much of the money they collected went to congressional candidates.

They’re just going after Trump. Tons of websites do this and if the verbiage is on the site it stands up. So they’re singling out Trump ... out of spite.

It wasn't Trump but the WinRed group. And it may be whatever platform you're on that makes a difference.

My husband made a few small donations on his phone and we got hit. But they paid it back pretty quickly.
