Being the nerd that I am, have been spending a little time today looking at the recent order book action.

I've noticed a new pattern showing up very recently, but don't know if it's representative of a new actor or a capability update to a specific program - time will tell.

Inside the green squares you'll see a new type of "chirp" pattern that's very distinct from the standard order coming and going (an example is the yellow band highlighted by the light blue box). I've only seen this pattern since June 14th, and only in use in close proximity to the current market prices.

Mainly, the market making algos are responsive to changes in the order book, not absolute volume. I suspect this bot (and it's clearly not organic) is ramping up the order volume to fool the other algos into thinking it's organic. It is actually a very clever way to risk a very minimal amount of BTC to influence the price. Also of interest is that the signal is very periodic.

It is 3 hours long, presently at the $35k level - you can see on average it only risks ~30BTC at any one time as it starts off with an order at low 10-ish BTC and ultimately runs up to ~280 BTC before resetting back to ~10 BTC.

A possible indication of the link between the operators of the "chirping" bot being the same as the "steady large volume" player at the $37k level is the simultaneous signal break all the patterns share (highlighted by the purple rectangle). At first I thought it was due to a data dropout on my feed, but looking closer, you can see there is other data still there at that level in the gap, so it's certainly not a data feed failure.

Not that it is very useful per se, but I thought it was interesting to share and will be something to keep an eye out for in the future.

If 43.5k happens... And if it rejects... It rejects down to 8000-8500$ btc.

8500 probably pops up to 30k.

30k probably rejects down to 3k. Or lower.

It's about to get really ugly.

The reason I decided to start looking at the order books vs. traditional TA was based on the premise that "Whales" move the market in the direction that best suits them and that they drive the price via manipulating the volume on the order books to create FUD and FOMO cycles they profit from.

So, from this perspective, I believe the "Whales" are presently looking to keep the price of BTC as close to or below $32.5k as possible, maybe going lower at some point. For the prices to be rising, I would expect to see either (or both!) less volume on the books below $32.5k or more volume an equivalent distance away (say, $38-40k) from where we are now.

Whatever happens, it will be interesting to see it unfold as we are at a crossroads of sorts and it could go either way.

Feeling 8k end of July.
Feeling up to 30k during August.

I feel very near September 11th is the final crash to 3000(or 1k?) area. Expecting a covid lockdown to accompany the last crash.

Basically 4th of July is when the doom does start going faster down bringing us towards 8k. So yeah, still 4th of July doom. The whole month of July is doom. Doom every day.
