The idea of a late July start date I think has merit. It would give reason to cancel schools again "out of an abundance of caution". Maybe they'd say just those children who've been vaccinated can attend physical settings to try and get more pressure on that front.

My instant thought was late June in time for the 4th of July celebrations. Would make for a stark contrast with the Trump years if it's spent with nothing but fear porn on the TV.

The biggest issue this time is going to be getting the seeds of fear to take root. I remember the old question "What if they threw a war and no one showed up?" and ponder if the same is true for a pandemic. The fear never really set in around my area so people were very over the ordeal early on. Even outright told the local city to stuff it by mass disobedience when they tried to force a mask mandate down.

So aside from timeline I'd like to say that if there is another series of lockdowns you'll see the fear porn dialed up even further. Maybe a variant with ebola-style symptoms for maximum TV fear mongering.

Nah, unless people start dying in then tens of thousands a day or most or all hospitals shut down all over there won't be anymore lockdowns.
