I'm Glad I Went to School in the 80's & 90's... Biden Wants to Add FOUR More Years to Public School.

Home schooled kids socialize with everyone from newborns to 80+ years old. They travel in the circles that their parents do. They get to relate to people both in and outside their age cohort. One of the worst things about pubic school is grade segregation. Even if you want to relate to someone a couple of years older or younger, it's challenging, and each grade becomes a tribe unto itself.

Besides the moranic "teaching" that schoolkids have to endure, there's the fake competition between schools, and the idea that their school needs to be better than the next one at various ball games. None of that is useful in seeking the best solution for all involved, and creating a more peaceful world.

All my kids were homeschooled and two are Ph.D.'s. They're very social and relate well. They can think for themselves and reason from first principles.

Sending your kids to public school these days is like dropping them off at a restaurant all day that serves nothing but turds and letting them feed your kids.

maybe consider making the school days an hour longer instead, keep it voluntary though, so students have a choice. 4 years is a long time in a young person's life.

Kids knew more by the eighth grade than someone today with a four year college degree, without the use of computers, calculators, ballpoint pens for that matter.

i watched a video some time ago about NASA , it was describing how smart the scientists were back in 1969 when they sent people to the moon. compared to scientists today they had to do 99% of the calculations in their head, out of necessity. nowadays NASA scientists depend almost entirely on modern technology, they would probably be lost trying to things "manually"

I've watched recent NASA videos. It's all "kids"! 20 somethings that look like they came from some social protest march.

Most kids are well aware of the indoctrination that takes place in schools about all the anti law enforcement and anti American ideologies.

This topic sets something off inside. It has me pissed. It's another for of democrats just wanting to throw money at something- that will make work, more money. Schools are not working, let's throw more time at it.

I am sick and tired of root causes of problems not being addressed! It's the system used to educate that's the problem!

Oh, don't go thinking I am ignorant of the situation, I know full well what they want. Start earlier to train those incredibly moldable minds to socialist/communist ways of thinking. The core of the communist ideal can be programmed in those few years. It will let them create a foundation.

True education has second to indoctrination these days. College is the monastery of socialist ideals. You want to be a priest? Get into teaching or Journalism.

Sad part is, the one s that do know, know they have to comply to succeed. Only stronger parents in a concrete family can keep their kids on the right track.

I am glad you have had luck. I have hired 20 year-olds that were home schooled are are dumb as rocks. Can't count change, didn't understand a non digital clock or even how to count/keep track of quarter hours, couldn't take more than a single simple instruction.

Just my experience, but so far the percentage of people home schooled with both learning and social skill issues is much higher than successful home schooled people.

I don't blame the kids though, I completely blame their teachers - the parents. It is obvious they just gave the kids the answer and didn't actually make the kids thinking or learn any problem solving skills.

I'm glad the civil war we're about to have is going to clean all that shit up!

I did not get straight A's until after I graduated. Marxist counselor told me to dig ditches instead of furthering education. High School is a prison.

That is exactly the goal. They want to teach 3-year-olds how to play with their classmates asshole. Of course, ridiculing God and patriotism will be part of it.

If the goal is to make kids smarter--lie in Japan or a hundred other places, perhaps we should focus on the actual problem--the NEA.

I'm not sure this is 100% true, but it's closer to true than false. Especially the fundamental stuff, which seems now to be unimportant, compared to the stuff that's deemed to be important (by the NEA) but is way over the head of a fourth grader who can't read at first grade level. Because reading was glossed over, too.
