The left’s desire to eradicate the middle class is strong. As the article states, some of the houses are going for over 100k of asking price. At this rate, we can kiss our middle class to upper middle class suburbs goodbye. [link to www.wsj.com (secure)] . no they are buying it, converting to condos and they will be renting it to you. 2030 you will own nothing and will be happy. Newest Blackrock and alike idea is to be in rental business. Private jails worked well to certain point, but residential rental is a gold mine. no one will own anything in few years if you don't wake up and say no. . |

People are going to be forced into renting when there is nothing they can buy. Not everyone has someone they can move in with. Where does this lead to? It leads you into a cubicle apartment in a dystopian "smart city" where you will own nothing and like it. To be fair, ownership was always an illusion. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78551315 That along with hyperinflation, it's going to make 1929 look like an economic boom. Get ready for the Demonrat bread lines. I wish I could believe that rates will go up, but I don't think it will happen. I don't see why the Fed would do the right thing after doing the wrong thing for so long. I expect the Fed will never raise rates, but the entire market (stocks, bitcoin, real estate) is all going to collapse in real terms. Hyperinflation might keep some of home prices up in nominal terms, but in real terms, they will crash in the bubble locations. Not saying some small town in Kansas is going to crash -- just talking about the mania locations. I think Florida and Texas (and much of the South) will see the least decline in prices. NY, Cali, Washington, Denver, etc -- all are going to become cheap. |
