Quoting: Remedial_Rebel Houses are selling at 75% more their value from a year ago. $150k in 06/2020 just sold for $260k. I'm getting 3-4 mailings a week to buy my house. Crazy. Where does this lead to? It leads you into a cubicle apartment in a dystopian "smart city" where you will own nothing and like it. |

They will sale it in a year for 200 to 250 thousand. Its inflation. Same thing applies to cars, lumber, grains, resources, etc. Buy it while its cheap. Inflationary and then a deflationary depression is taking place in America. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78811053 United States 06/13/2021 11:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They aren't calculating the risk of a deflationary depression after the onset of the inflation. These companies and funds will be bankrupt within a few years if deflation comes to fruition. Then the government will end up holding all these neighborhoods and assets which is the long term goal. Its a more nefarious form of communism developing. |

In other threads on the matter, some comments compared this to 2008, but this is different. To have another repeat of 2008, you would need people who bought houses that they couldn't afford, liar loans, adjustable rates, and all that. None of that is going on, as far as I know. |

Using Chinese firms with American money to kite houses to protect the assets of the "big guys" as they extricated themselves, while simultaneously formulating an economic weapon that acted as a barrier to entry for many Americans who are now having their savings that they might have used if the market were grounded in reality vacuumed up with serious inflation? |

Banks buying back homes is like distributors buying back the building materials from retailers. They're expecting home prices to go through the roof! It's also another way to keep property taxes really high. At some point there might have to be a property tax revolution. |

People are going to move in with their parents, friends, etc to save money. The pension collapse will be epic and it will result in hyperinflation.
