Quoting: Half Past Midnight For you, we can provide bump service! Thank you. I finally have some time to watch and am impressed in less than a minute in! I only have a few small ones which I never unpacked when we moved. Your comment about holding them makes me want to get them out & find a good place for them. awesome, glad you enjoyed the video! your crystals want to be free, lol. i find sunshine and cold running water (tap, or lake waves, or creek stream) great for recharging crystals too. I heard they like sunshine I never heard of cold running water. I have a salt water softener for the whole house & Reverse Osmosis through the fridge. What do you think - RO? I also heard some people put the crystals in a dish with sea salt. I have pink Himalayan salt. |

I also heard some people put the crystals in a dish with sea salt. I have pink Himalayan salt. salt water does have postive and negative ions, to be honest i haven't tried salt water charging, i'd be interested to hear your impressions. usually when i charge with water, i'm looking for flow, so that's waves on the sandy shore washing over the gemstones, or a flowing creek/stream -- both methods yield nice cold, tingle quartz for example, although it can be risky, you might lose a piece! not sure how true this is, but to my haphazard, hippy intuition: sun = hot/positive water = cold/negative ..and i don't mean negative as bad, i mean negative as opposite polarity.. perhaps you could think of it as hot/sun/yang and cold/water/yin. where hot/yang pushes out, and cool/yin absorbs. then there's pressing/squeezing quartz to make it emit, then relaxing the pressure to make it absorb, but i have a rave to go to now -- catch you in a couple days! Quoting: beeches Opals fascinate me. I like them lighter-colored. below a chrysoprase cabochon bought at a gem show and made in into earrings. in Oscar Wilde's play Salome, chrysoprase is mentioned. I was curious about it and saw it in real life, like it a lot. moonstones.... I had a faceted moonstone. They are usually rounded cabochons. Was a gift for someone born in June. Wow, that is beautiful! Is that a diamond above it? Cool story on how you got it. |

Dude, yeah, please share! And thanks for the advise on the water and squeezing. just got back, have a boat load of editing to do fast, my daughter just reminded me i promised to take her camping tomorrow, gah! with the quartz, there is scientific basis for this known as the Piezoelectric Effect: "Piezoelectric Effect is the ability of certain materials to generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress. The word Piezoelectric is derived from the Greek piezein, which means to squeeze or press, and piezo, which is Greek for “push”. One of the unique characteristics of the piezoelectric effect is that it is reversible, meaning that materials exhibiting the direct piezoelectric effect (the generation of electricity when stress is applied) also exhibit the converse piezoelectric effect (the generation of stress when an electric field is applied)." [link to www.nanomotion.com (secure)] So.. I've tried this on myself with some interesting effects. If I have some pain due to perhaps stagnation in my body (sitting too long driving taxi, drinking too much, etc), I'll squeeze a chunk of quartz to push energy out of it, then place the point against the area of my body where I feel that pain/discomfort, and release the pressure on the quartz, letting it pull charge out of my body.. or something. Maybe it's my imagination/placebo or maybe it's real, but seems to help. Can go the other way too, if I want a charge on a chakra or something (like heart maybe), I'll place the charged (usually water method) quartz point over the area, then squeeze to insert charge. Interesting. Another reason for me to get mine out. I went in the bag today and looked at a couple pieces; amethyst, a piece of iron ore from the tour guide at the Platteville Mining Museum, a pewter fairy with stones and an arrow head painted by an Indian. There's a quartz in that bag from my brother and a fluorite frog and 2 more fairies. They are all small pieces but it just seems like so much trouble unwrapping them all. And now I need to go read about piezoelectric energy. Thanks. |
