I like them lighter-colored. below a chrysoprase cabochon bought at a gem show and made in into earrings. in Oscar Wilde's play Salome, chrysoprase is mentioned. I was curious about it and saw it in real life, like it a lot. moonstones.... I had a faceted moonstone. They are usually rounded cabochons. Was a gift for someone born in June. Long story short, we were 1500 feet below surface and the drills hit a void bigger rhan the drift we were chasing. When we broke through it was the most incredible thing i have ever seen. I’m sure you’re familiar with Geodes right? Imagine a Geode with a 30 foot diameter with crystalline gold throughout! It was breathtaking. They wiped it out and mashed it to powder. .... they got alit of gold that day.... |

Actually right now im doing some test renders of diamonds. The render engine cant do those caustics effects well, but it can do the other stuff pretty well, it tries to simulate chromatic aberration, reflective and refractive caustics, dispersion, bokeh depth of field and camera effects. Here is the link to the test renders im doing right now. [link to blenderartists.org (secure)] |

Local Crystal Shop (Heaven and Nature) used to out to the Tucson Az Gem and mineral show every year. She would take pics then have geodes and crystals shipped back to Pa.
