I'm glad to live where fireworks are illegal inside city limits, and in a neighborhood where most are considerate of others. There are shopping center parking lots where it is tolerated, and the city puts on a huge display.

Even with the ban inside city limits, every year there are people killed by falling bullets ( usually fired off by illegals ). Every year there are houses or apartments burned out by people who think it's okay to set off fireworks in densely populated neighborhoods in disregard of the ban.

Celebrating the 4th should never include endangering the health and well being of others or their property.
