Since alot of the Solo is paired with XRP. People like me are going to trade for XRP. As Solos peice drops, XRPs price will go up. When the Solo price bottoms out, that's when I buy back into Solo. Not all but some. But people will be definitely buying back, making the airdrop worth a significant amount of money. Crap |

Hello Pool, Thank you for contacting Coinbase Support. On 19 November 2021, due to technical reasons, trading on GYEN and POWR was adversely affected. As a result, all buys, sells, trades, sends, and receives of GYEN and POWR have been temporarily disabled on Coinbase.com and Coinbase Pro while we work to correct this. In addition, we have temporarily restricted some customer accounts while we work to correct this. We know this is a significant inconvenience and we’re working as quickly as possible to correct this to ensure that customers impacted can access funds as soon as possible. We apologize for this - we’ll follow up with you here once an update is available on your account status. Kind Regards, Coinbase Support |

Quoting: nemo_solus Of my friend group, none are involved, despite being very technically competent people. Most relatives are not involved either. The easiest thing for a beginner is to simply buy and hold, so I wouldn't want to recommend anything aside from high quality (preferably undervalued at the moment) cryptos. The answer, I think, is to get them set up with a simple App like the ones from Coinbase and Uphold, despite the higher fees that are charged. I'm thinking an immediate buy into XRP as it's undervalued at the moment due to the SEC litigation and then set them up to DCA some fixed amount at regular intervals into BTC, ETH and maybe some small amount into something like Link, HBAR, FTT, or XDC. As simple as it seems to us once you know how, there are a lot of newcomers out there who will need our help to get started. Anyone else thinking about this or have any wisdom? one thing that helps turn their head is price differences between this year and 2017, how one can become a millionaire in under 5 years investing around 10k wisely also explain to them how tech evolves, like wiring money turned into paypal, now interac e-transfers, xrp is almost instantaneous transaction Thanks! Those are great points to make and demonstrates the need to hold some things long enough. As simple as it seems to us once you know how, there are a lot of newcomers out there who will need our help to get started. Anyone else thinking about this or have any wisdom? I did help one person get onboard with crypto, but I pretty much did everything for him until recently when we transferred his holdings into his own custody and he was able to see how the wallets look and what it means to send crypto, etc. I have been asked for beginner lessons in another group. I have thought about it and I would first tell them I'm not going to tell you why to buy crypto, I'm not selling you anything. I'm not going to tell you what to buy, I'll tell you what I did but you can make your own decisions. I can tell you how to buy crypto, how to keep it safe, how to keep records and secure them, how to create wallets, what kind of arrangements you should make with your computer or other device to minimize risk, how to send tokens. I would emphasize buying and holding long term. I would explain the most rudimentary trading principle of holding one asset until it appreciates, then swapping it for another with more upside. I think I could get those points across to the people that asked for them. And I would give credit to how much I learned from Digital Dave/Crazy4Cryptos even though he's not an XRP guy. But I benefited from his youtube channel and his patreon group, for the first year I was in crypto, for some suggestions of what to buy at the beginning, and for some real nuts and bolts how-to information. and the Bearable Bull's Udemy course, for some concepts, that really helped me make firm decisions and not second-guess myself. Thanks Bull! Always a confidence builder <3 always what I need most. And of course GLP <3 and various diss chord groups. |

Is anyone protecting xumm from this? No doubt this has crossed my mind. We should all be cautious. But I do know xumm is very secure. They also have a xrp forensics team. I feel that xumm is pretty safe. Your keys are pretty secure and it cant be pin swapped by phone. Since xumm doesn't use your phone number. I've also been thinking about this. For everything I've dug up to this point, XUMM is very secure and absolutely cannot be sim swapped. If it was to be hacked, I would think only by an inside job. But anything is possible in the crypto world as we have all seen. |

IMO all you can do to start is to get them to purchase utility coins and hodl. For me I would not recommend BTC and ETH because where those prices need to go to make money are rough. Plus they have impending doom coming down on them with Tether and the SEC free pass. My list would be: XRP, XLM, XDC, HBAR, QNT, VXV, ALBT, and ALGO. I've been on the LINK train this whole time but have recently come across some issues they could have down the road. I am not familiar with FTT. Overall I think you have the right idea going forward. |

I feel my airdrop will be worth 2 million in no time. It's going to be much like a Binance coin in value. Look at the amount of solo available. The reason why I want the XRP that I have is the fear of my xrp mooning at any second. Lol. I still feel that xrp is the end all be all in crypto. In the end, I feel I will have enough money to live very comfortably for the rest of my life and my kids lives. This crypto shit is the future and we are in very very early. First of all Abe, thanks for starting this up here. I sift through enough twitter and there's a lot of shitcoin airdrops that go on that I don't give credence to. This is completely different to me. I'm glad there's a month to sort all of this out as I'm really trying to figure out what the best strat is for this. First of all, do you have a recommendation on where to straight up buy SOLO? I saw this link and some of the exchanges I am unfamiliar with. [link to www.sologenic.com (secure)] My real dilemma right now is what to do with the XRP. I'm with you man, XRP is the be all end all for me. Been saving for four years for a reason and if I missed out on it mooning because I greedily went for an airdrop, I may never be heard from again. So what's the best way to go? Receiving 5 SOLO instead of .2 is a massive difference. Do you convert your XRP hours before the snapshot to SOLO, then convert back after it's taken? You're clearly the best source of knowledge on this so I appreciate your thoughts on this and what you're thinking. BTW you are right, we are all very very early. Well dude, this what I did. All year I have been accumulating XRP. As much as I can. Then I saw the Solo drop. I was very lucky and entered at around 11 cents. I bought 500 thinking a 2500 airdrop is incredible. Then I started reading a little more. I figured a 10000 airdrop is even better. I bought in again at around 1.60?? I just looked at the numbers and the risk. In my case I had made more than expected xrp through other airdrops. I said, Fuck it. 10000 of anything is good. I kept thinking, even if its worth 50 cents by the time it drops, that's 5000 dollars. That's 5000 dollars I could put back into xrp. I know damn well its going to be worth more eventually. And its going to be free. This shit will peak right before the snapshot. After the snapshot I'm trading all my current Solo back to XRP. Probably tripling or 5x my xrp bag. Then I wait for the solo drop. And I'm holding all of it. I bought all my Solo through Xumm. I opened a xumm wallet and then opened a solo trustline. I then traded xrp for solo. I will move all my current xrp to xumm for the snapshot to get the extra solo. I will move it back immediately afterwards. Great thread! My concern with the Solo airdrop is the “assumption” made by them on the actual number of tokens per Solo/XRP you’ll receive. If more then 500 million XRP are setup to receive Solo, the ratio will drop accordingly. It’s only projected to be .2 per XRP by estimating only 500m registered tokens. I didn’t see anything limiting how many could be registered. What happens if 10 billion are registered? How many registered for the Flare airdrop? I did swap a small bag of xrp for solo and setup my trust lines. I’ll also keep what I get from the drop because I like the solo wallet and dex. Signature on file. |
