Watched it 3 times in a row. Trying to lighten the mood around here a bit. The violin part might be my favorite.

Another lesson from the master. The difference between Roy Clark and Danny Gatton was that Roy and Danny were both world class banjo players, but Danny translated the fingerstyle to the electric guitar. Roy could only flat pick the electric. Plus Danny was just far more talented and had a strong jazz, blues and rockabilly background.

Should've pointed out that this is the very first episode.

Roy had an advantage in that he had a great singing voice. His voice along with those playing chops was a guaranteed success.
