To use the vernacular above: My perspective from the unusual places I've been is that both eyes were given, yet one eye was sheathed. The sheathing enabled the illusion of good an evil to exist. If both eyes were open, then the illusion would be seen for what it is...

As to the reason for this existence:

Growth through experience.

It doesn't matter what path the individual is in, the growth MUST occur because it is the only reason that we are here.

There is no science here that applies to reality. There are no valid skills. Self discipline is merely a step, not an end.

So what?

we propel ourselves with desire . We go 'forward' until we tire of the trying. When we get tired of it, we look inward.

When we look inward, we find our true nature.

When we find our true nature, we see with both eyes and the illusion ends. This progression is all by degrees. ...right up until we 'resurrect' or leave time completely. We realize that we were always whole and we simply return to our created state, but with experience and growth.

sin? Forgiveness? error? ...these are all nothing but steps of experience and have no bearing on our future end when we realize the total self of our existence which has always been perfect and cannot be changed. ...but...it can be hidden BY OUR CHOICE.

HOPE?

hope is perfect and it cannot be altered. The end is fixed because the designer is perfect and the only thing that is imperfect is our misperception of reality.

this all goes to perfection because that is all that has ever truly existed.

I like to hope it could be this easy, though I do agree with you point of the perfection in the source of who we are, in seeing it in our experinces, as we can find the time to reflect deeply to see this reflection, i have to admit in coming to the calm there, I Dont include my own face. I dont recognize myself, But the Creator alone.
I am I thought in his/her mind, nothing more then that, and im fine with that revelation.

the part of Forgivness and sin is a defined point in his mind also. this is not something I alone..or this ME that most people like to associate being part of..its is the canvas that that the masterpiece of WHO forgiveness is painted onto..if there is nothing more to see then the face of Jesus who is the sent as a demonstration of Forgiveness in the form of a man..let this be the only thing that I am able to show. I am because he IS.
nothing is left of my experience other then to testify that he IS.

for if we are made in the Image of LOVE then how can love ever survive unless it dies on the cross of forgiveness to resurrect the Love of God bestowed and endowed in us.

and this IS life.

we are only testimony to his Glory ..

When God made man in his/her image, he gave us one eye, and said for you to get the other eye you have to earn it.

You cant see the full picture of WHO your made in the image of until you take part in what its going to take to get your other eye..

you have to make your own choice. I will offer you the other eye in all its intended glory, Ill hang it on this tree over here..
its you alone who will have to make your choice to grab it.

But be warned once you see with this other eye, your view of your world will change forever.
and from this action you gain what its takes to BE whole.
You will have Good and Evil to see and contend with in your daily reality.

So get this, a line had to be made to make what was Evil.
the word said "DONT"
and in that word all evil was born.
But see..
what is God but knowing good and evil.
so why not offer his children the path to growing up to know this side of himself.

what father/mother outright walks up to his child and unveils all evil to that child, this is a delicate matter so as to not break the spirit of a child.


though it it is present in spirit from one individual to the next, it a tempered strategy to administrator a responsible discussion for the best understanding.

in this old story it is core to remind the one understanding this that their was a thing held back and guarded, and judging by how history has paid out it is absolutely the best part of all our humanity.

outside from knowing Good and Evil we took on the experience to understand it, and we know how its said that we get to know a thing through our experiencing best.


So now that we see, and each one of us has equal free range to the depths of this.

the original post in all its wording comes to validate that indeed there is "that line" that we crossed.
and in so doing we are able to use this 'eye' to see the 'who' that we are.
