It is the middle of the PARTY SEASON in the Hamptons!!
(the August Playground of the US's wealthiest and most connected)

What about the Parties scheduled for TONIGHT ... and TOMORROW AFTERNOON!!??

The caterers are already taking down the Party Tents and packing away the kitchens, tables, chairs ... and OMG ... the DANCE FLOORS!!

The "Season" is RUINED!!

There are ONLY FOUR Saturday Nights for the BIGGGG most Impressive Parties this year (since Obama used up the first weekend - and it wasn't even at The Hamptons!! OMG!) (for those of you NOT in the know the giver of the TOP party on each of those 4 nights will spend a couple of million dollars OR MORE throwing it)

How can those people discuss what is IMPORTANT in the world this summer ... such as Missy's dress is clearly the WRONG COLOR, and Bill had to fire his Yacht's Captain because he slept with his daughter. You know the IMPORTANT things that are happening in the world that need to be discussed, not the distraction for the masses stuff like they talk about on GLP, if they miss one of those 4 parties at The Hamptons?

IT IS A DISASTER!! A Disaster like hasn't been seen by those at the Hamptons for at least 30 years, MAYBE A HUNDRED!!

Looks to me like most of NYC will be fine. On the dry side of the storm with outbound winds.
Tides will be lower than normal if anything.

Montauk and Rhode Island looks like they will get the worst of it.

Here in Pennsylvania we were initially worried about it being Sandy 2.0 but it appears it will miss us and not have the strength that Sandy had.

This is NOT a major hurricane.

Probably a Cat 1 when it hits (same as a major league thunderstorm, wind wise, around here), at worst a low Cat 2, but a very heavy rain event (but NOT even close to Houston a couple of years ago).

The hurricane that first hit the Yucatan this past week as a Cat 1 restrengthened and was a Cat 3 when it hit the Mexican mainland yesterday .... now THAT is a major hurricane.

Just stay away from the coast itself, be aware of a massive rain/flooding event, and one should be fine.

Most well built houses should be fine, though since up north even those could lose some roof shingles or have some yard trees blow down. (in FLA roof shingles are supposed to hold up through a CAT 3)

Stay safe ... and just stay out of low lying areas, away from the coast, and do NOT drive through water!!
