Nature softens up the heart
Truth. I live in a big city and 2 months ago had the opportunity to go to a country side. Normally, i was a bit biased, because i was thinking i would be bored. However, when i went to the place, everything has changed completely. Minutes after setting foot on the ground, i felt so much happiness. Even collecting grapes from that place(vineyard), was amazing. I felt as if my heart was softened. And surprisingly, my speech became way more loving and gentle. I'm normally a gentle and loving person, however it made me even more :) Therefore, if you like to find happiness and positivity, i'd recommend to go to a country side. The effects are amazing.

Never lived in a city. Always been liven in the sticks. Would not want it any other way. One with nature.

Re: Nature softens up the heart
I enjoy my possums and raccoons, my cats and my dogs.

I feed them all with a happy heart.

The little possums will take food from my hand now.

The raccoons too, and the funny thing about raccoons is they will give the food to their little ones.

I love that.

I put a half watermelon out there for them the other day.

Such sweet creatures.

Possums eat ticks.

We have a whole family of them under our shed.

My kids have never had a tick on them.

Also possums are immune to rabies.

Me and my daughter feed them cat food.

They love it.
To find inspiration, you must look for it, but, fortunately, it wants to be found.

this it DOES!! there is an excellent spot behind my home in which I like to clear my <3 Chakra. Albeit this has to be on a weekday.

There is a highschool behind us. I suppose I could bring noise cancelling headphones? The idea is to disconnect with technology completely for .5-1 hour completely.

It does and has worked wonders. I was given this suggestion by a 'practicing Wiccan'.

Amazing how much respect and credence he would give to me in the meditations; to the "universal consciousness" --

pause --

he is known to me as GOD

but all that aside, nature does and can and will truly heal the soul

I watched a cheetah cleaning blood off his face with his paws after killing a zebra. Sad for the zebra, but one of the coolest experiences ever. Landover was less than 15 feet from cheetah when we stumbled upon the scene. At the time there were only 2000 cheetahs in Africa.

I know. Im just saying... nature can be bloody, gruesome and cruel. It's not all hummingbirds and butterflies.

I was eating at a seafood restaurant about 12 years ago out on the deck. It was around sunset. The restaurant is on the edge of a bay. The state had dumped chunks of concrete from construction debris to serve as cheap riprap to prevent erosion. The concrete retained heat after dark so alligators would crawl up on it to get warm.

Anyway, a group of young kids were at the edge of the deck looking in awe at this 8-10 foot alligator. Along comes a possum or large rat and the gator jumped forward and caught it, chomped a few times, backed into the water and swam away. All the kids started crying.

Like nothing else can my friend.

I was born and raised in Pensacola, actually destin but it’s just a suburb of Pensacola at this point, and moved to Portland Oregon in 2004. That lasted a year, couldn’t stand the place. I now live about 60 miles north of there in a little community of Lexington, nestled in the foothills of the cascades. We purchased a 7 acre piece of land two years ago even further out from there and have slowly been building our forever home. It’s so quiet out there and the views of Mt St Helens are incredible. I can never go back to a big city again, I hardly like going to Vancouver WA to work.

Interesting you say that. I just got back from spending some time in nature. Man, I feel so recharged and decluttered.

Walking barefoot at the park. Stretching. Feeling the sun. Breathing. So grounding.
