A votive candle signifies literally that the lighting is done in fulfillment of a vow (Latin, votum), although in most cases the intention is to give honor and to seek help from the saint before whose images the candle is lit and to pray for the dead.

Err... we are into October now. Or do you think they are skipping Turkey day, Christmas< and 4th of July 2022 ad stock up for the next September already?

I actually just started working overnights stocking at a walmart supercenter in WNY. I cant speak for ever store but since i started the problem seems to be with an obscene lack of workers. The back room/ warehouse is overstuffed with everything i thought was out of stock this whole time.

Like i said i cant speak to other stores. But just my observation.

Same here in Denver. My roommate works at WallyWorld and told me the exact same thing.

They understand the current political and social environment and want to play on your emotions and fears to get your monies?

Corporations gotta corporation.

They are candles poured into a glass jar so have slightly less risk of fire, and they also last fir two days. Very practical.

They sell those at the dollar store too. Also sell tons of the "emergency candles" as well. There was always alot to choose from.

Same as dollar general. The emergency candles are 50% off if you find them because they are seasonal.

What's weird is right before covid, at my Walmart they had TONS of toilet paper and Lysol wipes, etc. All stocked in the front of the store on sale for weeks. Like way more than usual for sale stuff. There was other stuff too that sold out shortly after. But I remember clearly thinking wow everything I can't find now has been right in my face on sale for at least a month, maybe 3 weeks.

Always kinda bugged me after.

Exactly! Walmart doesn't care about us, they only want us to spend money & the best way to encourage us to spend money is to promote fear. They are the ones that need to be afraid, very afraid. Especially when no one buys anything there anymore & no one shops in their stores anymore.

We will use Walmart up until they can not survive anymore or they stop cooperating with criminals!

Good luck with that. Even on GLP people say they are boycotting Walmart or some other place and a few weeks later, you see them make a thread about going to Walmart.

Now that you mention it. I did notice huge bags of those flat circular candles at the checkout at a popular box store the other day.
