Re: I've never seen a morbidly obese elderly person
Nope me neither.

Part of the reason why I've gone from a high weight of 115kg(250lbs) to 68kg (150lbs)

The other is sex, I am having 100% far more sex now than I ever thought I would when I was 150kg.

In fact I was convinced I'd die a fat virgin, so happy I proved myself wrong. Had 3 stunning g/f's so far... but my lesson is no more single mums or crackheads or alcoholics.
 Quoting: Unik

I've learned that the stunning women are damaged goods. I don't date them anymore.

Give me a regular looking woman any day. They're much more likely to be a great person on the inside. They'll treat you right. It's way more important to be treated right.

Men are blinded by beauty and it makes their lives more miserable.

Aside from diabetes and other issues that force weight loss, many elderly have poor digestion that robs the pleasure of eating.

Sadly, some lose the ability to swallow without major effort, choking, or aspirating. It's a big cause of pneumonia among elderly.

Re: I've never seen a morbidly obese elderly person
my cousin is a caretaker.
She takes care of a 74 year old lady, 5'4, around 300 pounds at least. She is severely obese, goes on cruises every year, fairly wealthy.

In fact, we thought she wasn't going to make it after the covid shots, but damn, she is alive and kicking like nothing happened.

She has two fridges and her freezers are full of ice cream. No freaking joke. She can walk but uses one of those electric carts whenever she goes out. My cousin's job is to load that thing on the hitch of her car and take her to doctor appointments and such.

Re: I've never seen a morbidly obese elderly person
My uncle grew up on a farm and kept eating that way after he was no longer on a farm.

He weighed around 450 lbs most of his life and 5 ft 8 tall, chain smoked, and would drink a fifth of whiskey in the evening like it was a bottle of soda. I think he died prematurely at around 98 years old. LOL.

When he was like a superman. He could lift the back end of a huge car and put it on jack stands. He could do a bunch of chin ups on the hay rack using just his one little finger (when he was on the farm and not so heavy)

My dad was about the same strength, but was never over 300 lbs and 6 ft even.
He didn't drink at all, and only smoked 2 packs of Marlboro's a day. He died at 87.
 Quoting: Justme C'est Moi

Had a great, great uncle who was alive when I was little boy. He died at 97, just shy of his 98th birthday. He was 6'9" 325. He smoked, drank. Got remarried at 58 to a 31 year old waitress, quite the scandal in his day. his 56 year old, 120# wife died of cancer.

He had six kids with two wives. Five with wife one, one with wife two. I loved him dearly. He was a combat engineer in WWI. He was cool as hell. He wasn't a front line guy because of his height, but he also served in WW2 in the Reserves.

In early 1900s, he and his brothers, one a short fat bastard that lived to 84, shot out the electric street lamps in Eufaulua, Oklahoma because their cousin lost his job lighting the old gas lamps. I used to have the newspaper article. It was freaking hilarious! They all did their 30 days and a couple of them found their calling as electricians because they had to repair the lamps!

Crazy as hell, but true.

They all die in their 50s and early 60s.

So why all the push for big is beautiful when it's not true.

When you're that big the hormones in your body aren't even functioning correctly and whether or not people smell your BO, they can smell, subconsciously, your fucked up hormonal balance. To the opposite sex that tells them to stay away. It isn't just a visual. You are physically incompatible with them...

Being big isn't beautiful. Now physical beauty isn't the only thing in the world but obesity IS CAUSED by eating more than you burn off.

It means you have low impulse control. That subconsciously means to the opposite sex that you would get them killed if shtf.

So see.

It's more than just looks. It's deeper than that.
 Quoting: SagoP

It's mostly leftists who push the "big is beautiful" baloney.

Leftists make up their own "reality" as they go through life. That's why King Solomon said that those whose heart inclines to the left, are fools.

Leftists like to piss on your head, and tell you "it's raining".
Yes... Accountability is coming. Those in authority and positions of trust will be held to a stricter judgment. From the highest offices of government, to the lowly Internet Forum Moderator. My best advice to them is to stop censoring those who tell the truth, and stop enabling the dishonest.

The sin of gluttony is rampant in western, American culture.

72% of Americans are overweight. 80% of covid hospitalizations are overweight. Do you see the spike? Overweight people, this disease is coming for you. That and minorities. Those statistics are pretty messed up as well and I challenge you to take a peek at what the New York Times had to say concerning race and covid. From memory, I believe if you are white, you have a 1 in 16000 chance of dying from covid. If you are black in this country, you die at a rate of 1 in 500.

I'm down 25 lbs in the last two months. I want to lose another 25-30. Already feel a shit ton better.

Amazingly simple, you just have to set your mind to it:

Cut out:

Potatoes
Rice
Sugar
Pasta
Breads

Eat less.

Exercise.

I used to be SUPER skinny. Tiny waist. I ate whatever I wanted. Had kids, got my weight back without effort. I had no idea what it was like to diet.

And then...

The year I turned 50, it happened. I couldn't fit into the same clothes. I dieted and found out, DAMN, it's hard to do. I can't eat just anything any more.

So I'm not obese, but I am overweight...and I have no clue how to get back to where I was. I tried all the fad diets. I tried intermittent fasting. My body just got used to the schedule and I still wanted to overeat.

I'm always hungry.

My Grandmother was way overweight ...german woman, till she died at 90...

And most of my moms sisters are all ...Chubby in 70s 80s now...But you are right most fatties die around 60s ...

My Grandfather on my dads side,he was 65 when his heart exploded...But he smoked 6 packs a day,and had type 1 diabetes...And he was around 300 pounds when died!

My uncle just died last year, type 1 ...he was 76,he was 350 pounds...Big Man...He let his diabetes go which killed his kidneys !

Yeah, my Dad smoked about 4 packs a day. He literally dropped dead inside a McDonald's Restaurant while having breakfast and that was almost 30 years ago, long before dropping dead became the new fad.

All the morbid obese I have known have all said openly that they are/were depressed.

Is that why they sit around and eat all day long? Because they are depressed?

Maybe they should get up and go walk in the park. Or do some heavy cleaning in their home.

If I sat around and ate 3,000 calories every day I would have so much energy my house would be impeccably spotless.

But, I believe China was tweaking this virus to thin out the African continent. They want the farmland, oil and minerals, but need the Sub Saharan population thinned down to just the workers they need.

After all, who would be suspicious of another nasty pathogen emerging from the Sub Sahara?

It just escaped before they were finished baking the cake.

Once when my son was small (4ish), my ex took him to the YMCA. So, there was evidently some morbidly obese man there, and before my ex knew it, my son ran over to him and started to ask the man how he got so fat. Then he called over to my ex and told him to come look at the fat man and that he had never seen anyone so fat. LOL! The poor guy.

Looking at that pic, I see severe osteoporosis of the spine. That is why his chin is smushed toward his chest.

That is why his abdomen looks rounded - a curved and shorter spine in back. May be fat or water weight under the clothes.
Especially in the hip area, common with men on androgen blockers for prostate cancer.

his wrists look small in the cuffs.
Fingers look like the skin is a bit tight, may be some swelling in them.

I think the fear of death is keeping this monster alive.
