I don't have a link or anything but I read up on the shit once and I guess the Native Americans used it with some success against small pox back in the day.

Problem is it's a fairly rare plant and only grows in certain areas.

High dose IV vitamin C has been claimed to effectively treat almost all viral infections

I'll stick with dandelion root, stem and leaves. Tumeric/curcumin and black pepper. That kind of thing.
