All I can say is that if I knew then at 34 what I know now, 50+, it would be a lot better for me today.

I think you might trade out knowledge for wisdom the longer you live.

Memory is only one component of the mind.

Unless one rests on their laurels at 35, later life has a lot of opportunities to gain knowledge and experience. It may not assimilate and store the new info as quickly, but the ability is there.

Not to mention the mind's capacity for imagination and reasoning, the act of generating new ideas to implement from the synthesis of existing knowledge and newly generated hypothesis.

The reason many people's mental capacity seemingly stagnates at that age is because they quit expanding their mind, having mastered enough capacity to obtain and retain employment that provides a standard of living that is comfortable enough that they don't want to invest the effort required for further improvement.

Continuing to challenge oneself with new learning and experiences throughout life goes a long way toward maintaining neuroplasticity and mental capacity in one's later years.

Eh, it’s a bit more complicated than that.

It has more to do with individual DNA sequencing.

I’m trapped in an office with low-IQ, third-world people who are much younger than me, yet they are absolute zeroes in mental capacity and competence.

I wouldn’t trust them with 25 cents, let alone the future of my career.

With their routine laziness and abject incompetence, I do not rely on them for anything.

I handle most important projects solo.

All the wise people I've met in my life are old and grey.

but they are slow as fuck in the brain and they forget things

like for example i am 31yo and i repaired the computer of my mom who is 62 today. she thought i was a fucking genius because i could navigate the internet much faster than her.

you guys can cope all you want, once u reach 35yo, ur not getting smarter anymore, ok u accumulate more knowledge but its gets cancelled out by your 'brain-hardware-memory decline.'

If you eat shit food then you will have cognitive decline.

Eating foods rich in minerals vitamins protein with regular exercise will stave off cognitive decline up into your 70s.

But just about everyone fails to eat healthy because they can't exercise any self control.

You might be at your intellectual peak at 34 but yet....you still scan QR codes with your phone!!!

This was my experience, I was a sharper and had a better short term memory around 30ish.

HOWEVER, I didn't possess near the WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE that I do now.

I know a hell of a lot more now than I did at 30 and alot of what I thought I knew proved out to be total horseshit.

And you can put a lot more into a larger container than a small one.

You are Born with Intelligence, you accumulate Knowledge, and you then gain wisdom through experience, failure and success.
