Russia has lost more troops in the last 20 days in Ukraine than the US lost over 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. And most of Russia's combat troops are young conscripts. Putin doesn't care. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78241682 Ukraine may become the beginning of the end of Putin as a dictator Correct. The Soviets were finished and completed their withdrawal in February 1989 after 14,452 soldiers were KIA. The dissolution of the Soviet Union was underway by early 1989. Historians agree that the large number of casualties and the Soviet failure catalysed the collapse of the Soviet Union. The same could easily happen with Putin and Ukraine if they continue to fail in was was supposed to be a three or four day invasion and regime change. If the Russians don't finish this soon, they are screwed. |
