I doordash and I can tell you this much, its going down hill. They are lowing the Basepay to $2. Currently, its $2.50. I cherry pick, by sitting at home and waiting for a $6.50 or more and no more then 3 miles. ( 3 plus back home 3 ). That is my target, although a shitty 1 to say the least.

Last week, I declined about 70 orders pretty much in a row, because not 1 single offer was over $5. and im talking $5 for 14 miles type orders.

My goal is to make $100 Profit, excluding gas ( $50 profit per $10 in gas ) so i really have to make $120 a day. I used to ave about $22 an hour, now Im down to $9 an hour, cherry picking, because the good offers are so far inbetween.

Ive had 2 violations for food not delivered, because of scammers, Ive had 15-20 order Tips pulled because i was tip baited.

Oh, and this whole, " short handed shit", stop it.

They got lazy. Most McDonalds, Taco bells, Wendies close the lobby now super early, so we have to use the drive thru, and because they pull the " Short handed" card, we have to wait 30 minutes for simple orders, so they dont have to pay people to work. Its the Merchants fault, not the " No one wants to work" people. They short hand the staff to pay out LESS in labor fees, but rake in Gov money, to post " Help Wanted" signs.

Then, the people that do work, shouldnt be working, because they dont have an sort of inclination of TIME. They sit on the Iphone, Take selfies, Flirt, stand around talking about last night, then, drag their feet and seem like they have zero clue what to do. When it takes literally 3 minutes to fill up a dam fountain pop and put a dam sticker on it, Come on Man!.

By the way, you know how many times ive seen workers itching their head, playing with the phone, then put your fries in the bag?! With the same hand, gross AF, WITH THE GLOVE!!

McDonalds is by far, the grossest fkn fastfood place around. Ran by people that dont give 2fks. I see it all day, everyday, and I can tell you, 1 out of 7 deserve the job, 1 out of 7 bust their asses to get the orders out.

Another BS move doordash does, is they fill the order to dam far away from the customers that order it. Ive drove past 3 of the same joints to drive to the furthest away, making the delivery time 20-25 minutes, when it could of been just 1-2 miles away. They dont let the customers choose the location, just the merchant, and i think alot of customers dont know this.

Anyways, Doordash is done. It will be sold off by the end of this year. They are looking for ways to "stop the bleeding" because they arnt making any money, and they are going to start by lowering the base pay per delivery that the dashers get.

They are going as far as matching the employees stock, because its down 55% since it hit the market, so they are going to "Level them Off" by paying the difference from the losses they incurred by owning the stock. Guess who gets the shit end of the stick? The dashers do..

Now, on the other hand, you cant expect customers to tip $5 on a $8 order, just cant. When the fee's and tip is 100% or more, thats just foolish. But when you order fkn $130 worth of shit, and tip $1, Thats BS, lol..

WHY WOULD ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND EAT ANY FOOD DELIVERED BY SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW, WHO MIGHT HAVE WHO KNOWS WHAT REAL DISEASE (NOT COVID, THAT'S BS, TALKING ABOUT THE FLU, OR A CONTAGIOUS SKIN DISEASE, LIKE WARTS) IN A VEHICLE THE CLEANLINESS/CONDITION IS UNKNOWN, WHERE YOU DON'T KNOW IF THEY SPAT IN IT, OR ON IT, OR TOOK A BITE OUT OF IT, NOW THEY HAVE YOUR NAME ADD AND PHONE NUMBER...

uh, that has nothing to do with companies not paying these "contractors" fairly for the service they provide.

Whether employee or contractor they are paying "slave wages" and without tips they are actually losing money. Which is why so many are saying "No".

it can be given before the order is delivered, technically since it usually is for the service person to remember you for next time. has nothing to do with the service you just had, just the service you want to get.

Unfortunately most of these apps hide tips (bids), in different ways, which means they don't respect the customers who the system should be designed around, which also means their bid for market share is unsustainable for investors...

None of these apps truly understand what would make them successful, which is simply treatment of the service for what it is, a luxury service..

Nobody will go bankrupt and lose money just to deliver your food

Uh are you a tard? A delivery person is NOT at a fixed location and they are not employed by the restaurant in these circumstance

The drive is an contractor and can choose to take any order they deem worthy of their time and effort

No driver will accept orders they will lose money on

Tipping a waitress that carries your order from the kitchen to your table is one thing, but a door-dash type person gets in his car and drives several miles Risking his time and gasoline on some asshole that might not tip. I don't blame them. No tip, no trip. You reap what you sow.

I never order from a middle man. You get screwed everytime.

For what it’s worth, Uber Eats gave me a $15 discount on a meal. Bought a meal for my GF who was in the labor unit. I wrote specific notes to the delivery driver. Tell me why the delivery driver did NOT want to deliver the food inside as instructed. She wanted me to go outside and get it from her. I wasn’t even in the same town. I quickly reduced that $15 tip to $3.

When the job no longer pays then he will get a different job.

Quit expecting people to provide you a service for free dipshit.

What i think is funny is your food being thrown in a closet because you expect soneone to deluver you food 10 miles away for a dollar.

If you dont tip dont expect service.
