Invasion of the body snatchers

What if aliens have took over the government and are in the skin of politicians and generals and they want to weaken the population and take away people ability to make a living then spend
all the money and taxes to bankrupt the country take away disability and retirement, spend all the tax dollars and all the governments money thru wars,false studies and spying on the citizens. Thats why they are acting weird and spending money on crazy things, it looks like they are trying to destroy the country not fix it. So the invasion will be easy.
