Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79976708 USA is a cesspool of shit, but it's better than anywhere else on this god forsaken planet. Somewhere in South America overlooking the ocean. I can still make money as long as I have an internet connection. There are some good expat youtube channels Clearly AC has never been anywhere else. I'm sitting on my balcony enjoying the springlike weather that's about the same every day, no need for heat or A/C, gas, electric, water and sewer are ~$35/mo, cable, phone and internet ~$28/month for double the speed in the US so it works out to about 1/8 the price. Good full coverage health insurance with the best company is under $50/month and as head of the houshold covers my wife and daughter at no additional expense. Is it perfect? No, nothing is, but it's a damn nice change and I can't really think of anything I'd change. I certainly can't imagine downgrading and moving back to the US. Sounds like you’re in Medellin. It’d even better outside the city with growing season 24/7 and about 15 degrees F cooler once you get to the other side of the tunnel. Like I told my ex-wife, I said: honey, I never drive faster than I can see. Besides that, it’s all in the reflexes… |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 81092559 South Korea 05/20/2022 05:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Op the USA is a cesspool yes but it is a high class cesspool. I work overseas and let me tell you you want stand a chance overseas. you will be ripped off and beaten in matter of minutes where ever your thinking of going. Oh yea most countries have real border control unlike america. They dont hand out visas. Quoting: panamaJJJ Wait to the first time you get sick and need a hospital you will suffer a painful flight home. You retards scream this shit but have no idea how great you have it here. SO STFU and deal with it. If you go overseas you probably coming back in a body bag. FYI most of the world hates americans these days yes that means you OP no matter your politics you are a american and they hate that!!! I had an emergency appendectomy in South Korea and spent three nights in the hospital. The total cost for everything including the food and meds was around $350. At the exact same time, my aunt had a routine, non-emergency abdominal surgery at Tennova in Knoxville, Tennessee and was billed over $500,000. I don't know the exact amount, other than it was "over a half million dollars." I extended my work here one year just so I'd have time to get a non-emergency hernia operation which, with one night in the hospital, was around $300. I spent a while in the USA to spend time with my parents, but waited until I got back to Korea to get my intraocular pressure tested and to get dental work done. My visit to the opthalmologist was around $15 and my eyeglasses were around $40. My dental fillings were around $70. I'll be getting a dental implant for around $900. Anyone flying back to the USA for healthcare is out of their mind unless it's someone like Joe Biden who gets his paid for by taxpayers or pro athlete who gets it paid for by their employer. I don't hate America, but that doesn't mean I want to be ripped off by the American medical industrial complex or deal with the amount of crime I have to deal with anytime I'm in the USA. I have a higher standard of living in Korea than I had in the USA. I had a higher standard of living in Vietnam with a comparable amount of "freedom." |

I guess you are right, but however that may be, American culture and its spreading out over the globe is here to stay, and for a long time to come. Many centuries - a few thousand years, more likely. American civilization has just begun, so to speak. It is known as the 5th post-atlantean cultural epoch (the post-atlantean era is divided into 7 cultural epochs), and it will be succeeded by the 6th cultural epoch, which will be Slav.
