If you do not have a family tradition naming your offspring then logically one would do the following.

Seek out the social group you want your child to be taken in by and find a common denominator in their affections.

Then name your child after that one thing that the parents of their peers will somehow feel acquainted with, a memory that they can't place but will immediately put your child in their soft spot and will allow them to excel.

That's how one would name their child if the child is to be successful.

If you want them to be loved the first would be a more likely candidate.
