A friend's wife has over $200k in student loan debt. Her starting wage after graduation 5yrs ago was $130k/yr. From what I was told she makes minimum payments on her student loan debt because she thinks it will be forgiven.

Why not just give everyone in the country 10 grand instead of handing it out to college brats that cant make a living.

People who have nearly $100,000 in student loan debt or more can afford the payments just fine because they have higher degrees. I certainly can. Although my debt's below $100,000.

If he really wants to earn votes, he should cancel up to $50,000 for those who make less than $50,000 or haven't since the plandemic. Leave the other loans alone. They're the bulk of what is owed anyway and we're well-equipped to pay it so the system can continue to help new students.

I own a house, pay my bills, and have a tiny bit of expendable income. I understand I am an indentured servant, but it was a price I was willing to pay for my kid's survival at a time when my husband was terminally ill and I was unable to work outside of the home.
