Traffic here has gone bezerk. And everyone is driving fast. I talked to a coppa a few days ago and he said people are flooding into this area, and I have noticed it’s mostly milenials. Bless their hearts so many died from the vaxxx but faaah. They drive like batshi@ out of hell. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80327672 United States 05/28/2022 03:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wife and I are age 33 millennials with one child. We had no financial support from parents so opted for a cheaper college, got a job starting at 45k right out of school. Found an affordable house and didn’t go spend crazy. Within 3 years of the house my wife opened two storefronts during pandemic and both have been successful. The rent was so cheap because so many were closing doors. She just took a small loan out but now we are all set. Some of us do work hard and have money to spend but there are also plenty we know with huge handouts from their parents. We also live in the south where everything is much cheaper too. The increase in travel is likely people finally getting over malls and other modern boring activities after pandemic weaned us off. Also many are still likely scared of media Covid fear so they opt to go outside and travel instead of load up and fly into a busy city. Just my opinion could be a lot of factors. |

I do lurk alot, almost every other day. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83459250 I live in a small wilderness town around under 10,000 people in the western part of the US. There are alot of lakes and rivers and other recreational activities in my area. I have lived in this area for over 31 years. During the summer time it does get a little busy, but not too chaotic. It has been like that since I moved here 31 years ago... But OMFG, this week has been a mad house!! I know it is Memorial day weekend, but never have I seen so many people traveling to my area. I am talking about a 10x increase in the number of people! 10x from a normal summer vacation crowd. It usually takes me 5 minutes to drive from the supermarket to my house, but yesterday it took 30 minutes!! Even when it was busy in the summer time in the past 31 years, it only took me 10 minutes max! A while ago I read a thread about this GLPer mentioning that unempIoyed people are always traveling. see thread below Thread: Unemployed People Are UNSTOPPABLE... Nothing Can Stop These People From Traveling I have to agree with this guy. I mean, gas prices are skyrocketing, inflation is at historic high, 401k's has taken a huge hit from the stock market crash, and people are all in debt to their heads and they are just traveling around alot? This makes no sense.. People already had 2 years off from Convid, how much more vacation time do these people need? Here is an article showing that more people are going out this weekend.. What the heck is going on? Memorial Day weekend travel: gas prices drop slightly — to $4.59 a gallon — as 34.9 million cars hit the road [link to www.marketwatch.com (secure)] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83454297 once people believe prices will only be higher tomorrow, they're gonna spend their money TODAY. You're seeing the change in expectation. Spend now because your money will be worthless soon. . I have picked up just about everything I need supply wise for the next two years because I already know where this is headed and how bad it's gonna get yup, me too. I picked up a 3rd phone, a 4th laptop, etc. I spent more money in the past 60 days than in the previous year. |

There is a circle of very rich billionaires that have taken control of the money printing press, are destroying the entire economy via inflation and are using the printed money to hand out free bitcoins to people they deem worthy (aka anyone that isnt a christian). This is how they want to purge certain unwanted parts of the population, with economic warfare. They have effectively privatized the welfare system.
