My mother passed away this morning

When you first asked on here,

I prayed for her recovery, and your help and families.

I also included you and your Mother and her and your family, in a weekly prayer offering, that ask's for specifically for protection, healing, divine mercy, and intercession and help of the unseen holy angels and all that is holy and good on the other side.

Though also, when it was, as it comes to all of us, her time to pass came, that she would be protected and God/Jesus the angels would help her and have Divine Mercy on her soul as well.

More Prayers going up for her and you, and yours.

There is nothing I can say to help what you may be feeling now, I wont give you the usual cliches, and deny the reality.

It bloody hurts, I can only hope that healing and acceptance comes for you when it is right for you, and not according to anyone elses ideas, suggestions, text books things, this is a deeply personal thing, and there is no wrong or right.

If you have a support network in the flesh not here, lean on it, call them, dont be shy when that is right for you.

There isn't really much more I could say that MHF said and better than I would have, except to say...I have been where you are now. It doesn't exactly get better, but it does get easier to live with over time. Most of us here know that already. It just takes time, sometimes lot's of time and that's ok.

My condolences. I'm trying to have the same attitude as you, but I'm not doing so great right now.

My 75 year old mother has been living with us for nearly 7 years. She'd been struggling this past month, but yesterday was the National Road Yard Sale and she really wanted to go. She had been looking forward to it for awhile.

We had a nice day with the whole family and she found herself a few treasures. She thanked me for taking her when we got home and said she had a good time. Two hours later we found her lying on the floor unresponsive and her lips were blue. My husband did CPR until the police and then the ambulance arrived. They couldn't save her. She passed away at 9:48. I know she's no longer suffering, but I'm lost. Dinner was exceptionally hard this evening. She was supposed to be there and she wasn't. This hurts so bad.

I hope I didn't ruin your thread. Reading your outlook makes me want to try harder to have the same.

Your situation was very similar to Scrump's, OP.

I prayed for her Heavenly release and for her to 'shuffle off her mortal coil' and so it came to pass.


Grievance is necessary, but her fate was in God's hands, and now she is in Heaven.

You're in my prayers tonight FarMore and the other person who suddenly lost their mom. It's one of the hardest things we go through. Your mom is safe in heaven. Take care of yourself.

Aw hon! Prayers for you and yours, said and sent. Going this way is harder on the family because it was so quick, but so much easier on your mom. It sounds like she had a great day before she was called home. Hang on to that. There aren't words or actions that will make it better, just time. It will become a lighter load in time. Truly.
