Well, the brain that balances braking forces between the hydraulic system and the regenerative system SHOULD have been designed to put 100% of the braking into the hydraulic system INSTANTLY in the case of regen system failure. In the video you can clearly hear how he says he's giving the regen braking a thrashing, and announces exactly when it fails. Why put on giant racing brakes if the car brain is still going to use the regen? Idiots think it's electrical, so it won't break. Maybe it DIDN'T break, but it got hotter than it ever expected to be, so it SHUT DOWN. |
