[link to www.washingtonpost.com (secure)] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78618912 I read this when I had my first child and recommend any parent to a baby reads. When you read the details, you would never forget your kid in the car. Try getting a round of heavy duty meds, whose side effects are short-term memory loss and your quack didn't tell you about it, nor did the nurse, nor pharmacist!! (They should ALL BE SUED!) It doesn't matter what you read, what you do, where you put your phone or how much you love your kid, when toxchems fucked with your memory, there is NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING you can do to remember. It's gone! I'd bet you anything that man had taken memory impairing drugs! (Meds or street!) |

Quoting: 936432979 If more people were routinely prosecuted for this under ‘negligent homicide’ then the man would have been more aware each and every day and not so easily forget about the child in the back seat. Very few get prosecuted, most are excused as accidents. But they are negligence and there are laws against that which if applied more equally and made public would make everyone aware to be more careful of their children in hot cars. youre a fucking idiot. he killed himself. he made a fucking mistake. because nobody ever forgets anything, right? We don’t make mistakes anymore about fastening our seatbelts do we? Habits help you not to forget. Penalties for forgetting help to make you not to forget make you more motivated to make it a habit, to never forget. If he wasn't so bloody programmed to have the windows up and doors locked due to baby kidnapping (or other nefarious car crimes the almost never occur) might the child have survived 3 hours in a car? Or have been heard crying in a car by a bystander? Back in the day most cars had no air conditioning. Windows were left open and doors were left unlocked. There might have been a few jugs of water for a leaking radioatior or that spray stuff for the carburetor in the trunk too. Of course they weren't the techno savvy expensive things cars are now. But I don't remember any babies dying in those cars. |

One thing that everyone seems to be forgetting in all this: THE FATHER SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF THE CHILD. THAT IS THE MOTHER’S JOB, PERIOD! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83771180 Men are not wired to be nurturers. They are not designed to be caregivers, they are not designed to look after children. They can do so, of course, but there are risks inherent in such activity. BS. I was a stay at home dad. I promised myself that my kids will NEVER, ride the school bus, NEVER sit at school waiting for a ride, NEVER have a babysitter. Sure, we lost income because of it, but they were always feed, always had roof over head, decent cloths. adults now, Never went to jail, Never stole, Never did drugs, Took responsibility for actions, graduated 3.0+, went to college, ( dropped out, because it wasnt for them but was forced by the mother ) Now, im divorced, because i didnt want to hang out with fake fuckin 3 faced fucks, pay $150 for garbage steak dinners at restaurants, didnt want to party on the weekends and have people watch my kids. and Im happy now. Fk that clout hungry whore. My best friends are my kids. Now, im going to play with my 9yr old daughter, like a kid, carefree and happy! How many babies you makin' over there? Damn, enough for you and me. |

No parent ever forgot them then. The stupid air bags stopped that. |
