If you shoot at the police you should be shot until dead then shot a few more to make sure. These guys do a job and their #1 priority is to go home to their families. Anyone whom thinks otherwise: fuck your feelings unless you have worn the uniform.

Well if he shot at the cops, then he was a threat and needed to be treated as such.

Cops don't have crystal balls in their cars to tell them if a suspect is armed or not after he takes off runnign after shooting at them.

Their mags have a capacity of 15-19 or 20 rounds, there were eight officers. Do the math, they didn't even dump their magazines or reload. Eight officers times 15 rounds is a 120 rounds assuming their carrying .40 caliber pistols. If they’re carrying less of a weapon, it’s likely 19 or 20 rounds so that’s as much as 160 rounds. Bare minimum they had 120 at their disposal but stopped at 90. We know they all fired according to what the news media has been told so it’s the only logical scenario, they didn’t even empty their magazines. I'm sure some officers fired more than others but the fact that they stopped before their mags were empty suggests it was adrenaline in response to being fired upon by the suspect and they gained control at some point. Regardless, it was clearly self-defense, and cops have just as much right to self-defense as anyone else. We aren't talking about twenty cops surrounding a house and firing a thousand rounds, these cops were chasing a suspect and were fired upon, all they did was respond. No, I'm not all "pro-cop", but this was a clear case of self-defense.

Then who shot at the cops?

Wait, a bunch of police against a single armed suspect? Aren't they supposed to wait like 77 minutes to engage him? I thought that was the new standard...
