Get Delayed or Denied buying a firearm? Expect a visit from the cops.

I've been buying guns for over 40 years. Never a delay. Never a denial. In fact, even when everyone is being queued, they put me right through. I get comments from the FFL like, "That was wierd." "What was wierd?" "They just said hang on when I gave them your SSN. They typed it in and gave me the clear without calling back." "Is that unusual?" "UNUSUAL?! Its fucking unheard of. I've been doing 4473s for 20 years and they always just call us back in a half hour or so. Now, we get it in a secure app online. But, just verbally, instantly, over the phone? Never."

I don't know if I'm cursed or blessed. I'll just buy everything I want in private sales, anyways.

They can take YOUR rights away, after due process (felons losing gun rights) and that is constitutional. They cannot take ALL of our gun rights away. That would be a violation of the 2nd Amendment.

You don't have to like it. This is how they justify what they are doing. That's all.

LOL! They'd have to hire entire new police departments to investigate everyone who is delayed. That's just STUPID.

I get delayed all the time sometimes 15 minutes. Sometimes 12 hours. It's a normal thing that happens to me for 10 plus years.

All my 4473's went overboard.

It's hell on the FFL and it's hell on the cops.

I remember when they passed the laws for background checks.

They only wanted three days for a cooling off period and to run a check. That's all they wanted, that's all they would ever ask for. This was it, if they got it they would never ask for any more gun control ever, honest Injun, you can take that to the bank..............

I just bought a new rifle as a gift for my oldest son, 29...I passed the FBI check, but getting the rifle took 6 months...The first one they sent had mismatch serial numbers...The second one they put swirl marks from a buffer, into the stainless steel, so finally the HNIC gave me and upgraded model with a competition barrel, scope, and three extra magazines...So I was like ok cool...

Anyone that doesn't pass an FBI background, should already know they are losers, and need not apply...

Well, I'm 48 next month and I have bought new firearms my whole life and have some that no one knows about...I've never been treated like a criminal, and if I ever am, I'll leave their shitty store and go somewhere else...In fact I just found a new gun shop because my old one got bought up by a bunch of damn salesmen...They couldn't even order a $4 firing pin stop for my Colt 1911...

as you can see, congress is given the authority to organize, arm and disipline "the militia" that the 2nd amendment references.

notice that is says "bear arms", which means to have it in hand ready to use. No where does it say "keep and bear arms". in fact the constitution only gives congress the authority to arm the militia and the states train the militia while discipline (regulate) as congress prescribes.

the constitution give congress the power to regulate the militia. i.e. the people that have weopons.

Agreed, but with a pause. Not sure what you're seeing around you but I'm noticing a large uptick in the "don't give a fuck" people like many of us here... Only in public.
