Quoting: HannahNinazu It is through someone or something that we can love. For others reflect our love. We need a placeholder for it or else there is nowhere to place it. That sounds like someone who uses others because they can't be alone. Turn love inward and put that love into yourself. You will never truly be content or happy if you're always trying to experience love outside of yourself. |

I've experienced almost every variation of relationships in my life and this is what I can tell you. ======================================================== Love A whisper of faith is the breath of spring That can chase away winter’s sting. To stand fast in believing In the face of all that is deceiving, That is the hope of LOVE. A smile brought to a saddened face, Like turning cotton into satin and lace, To give all you have when there is need, Even if it means your heart must bleed, That is the strength of LOVE. A caressing touch and tender kiss Can begin the journey to passions' bliss. To lose all sense of time, As two lovers find that their bodies rhyme, That is the beauty of LOVE. Two golden coins wrapped in the silk of togetherness That become more with time not less. To become richer when the other is near, But only when you can part and feel no fear, That is the Worth of LOVE. Something to share as the years go by, The smiles and tears and precious moments that quickly fly. To stand by each other when nothing seems right, Walking side by side in search of understanding and light, That is the reason for LOVE. Without faith there is no hope of LOVE. Without a smile there is no strength in LOVE. Without touching there is no beauty in LOVE. Without togetherness there is no worth in LOVE. Without sharing there is no reason to LOVE. We Know Love is not born of words. Nor the passion of desire, That touching might set on fire. Love does not live on dream. Nor is it purely the child of emotion, Set in flight by a heartfelt notion. It would live not only for the moment, Existing on what hope might conceive, But dwell in the light with no thought to deceive. Though Love seeks to win, It will bear no malice if it should lose. Jealous hate shall it never choose. We all seek to know Love. Although many times it eludes us by being more than we can show, But inside we know. The Exception The wisdom of knowing Has never been at the mercy of showing Except the conception of Love. There has never been a sorrow That could last beyond tomorrow Except from the loss of Love. No Joy has ever grown stronger Or lasted any longer Except from the nurture of Love. Nothing is worth more than gold Or all the riches that we can behold Except for the practice of Love. Nothing is more beautiful than a perfect rose Or more meaningful than poetry and prose No nothing except the decision to Love. Balance Smiles and tears, joys and fears A delicate balance throughout the years. Your eyes see the smiles and tears of love. Your hearts feel the joys and fears of love, So then should your spirits understand The wonderful power of loves command. Companionship is the essence of humankind, Coupled with loyalty it is love refined. Marriage is best served with devotion, Not to each other, but the nature of love. Learn to trust yourself as a true friend To the one you will know, love and defend. Yes may be the answer to many of your questions, But don't allow influence by mere suggestions. Seek to know yourself better than anyone else. This will help you to calibrate the scale And light the path on which your heart strives Giving the needed balance for both of your lives. ========================================================= There are many dissertations I would have loved to write throughout my live, unfortunately due to a minor infliction with ADD I was relegated to poetry. I have written a ton of them and most were inspired by the all the emotions surrounding Love. What stands out to me about human nature is the duplicity of the brain... No, not schizophrenia. With a lot of introspection, I believe many people would recognize the individual segments of our bicameral brain halves. This can cause confusion in a person's life if they are not aware of this attribute. A true conscious part of us can feel one way about a subject and a second true conscious part can feel entirely different about the same subject. This leads to an individual being able to honestly promise one thing and then turn around and break that promise. I wrote a poem about that as well. ====================================================== We Must I never ascended to the Eagle's nest Nor sought to possess a king's golden crest. No, I endeavored in a more humble quest A serious attempt on moderation's behest. A formidable foe as always was the ego The battle has long been fought toe to toe. A plethora of pleasures I made myself forgo In order to quell life’s overwhelming undertow. It would be an untruth to say I didn't falter Human nature is such a difficult thing to alter When faced with converging a cerebral duality Into an amiable single point conscious reality. It can be very frustrating when you see the two Opposite, inseparable, cogent buddies who are you. At the helm is I the moderator, third in this crew. I know it sounds strange, but I can attest it is true. It's not what you may think, no not a mental disease Introspection reveals this description with ease, But as you can see it's not an easy thing to please Multiple members who constantly put on the squeeze. This helps to explain why thoughts constantly wander A plurality of thinkers gives much more to ponder. Occasions of synchronicity provide pervasive pleasure Divergence though decimates that delicate treasure. It seems as if one lifetime just cannot be enough To explore the Preponderance of imagined stuff. Deciding what to pursue was always really tough. Threats fall short when you can call your own bluff. This is one fact that always stares us in the face With so many thoughts and things we can't keep pace. Even without moving it seems we're always in a race But Serendipity supplies the smiles that fill our space. With patience we made the trestle that supports our world Bound together with twisted steel and gold knit purled Crossbeams of faith founded upon the rock of resolve We must all work together so our strength won't dissolve.
