The blast won't affect you. The fallout might. It depends on the thickness of your structure and the materials it's made of. Fallout dissipates over time. If you are worried, you should read up on it instead of coming here. Also prevailing winds.

They won't directly target cities initially like we do (Hiroshima, Nagasaki). They will target CA, WA, MT, SD, ND, NE, CO, LA, WY, OH and a few others. Anything having to do with nukes and the ability to deliver them.

The "port" is used to ship out military vehicles and Port of Beaumont (20 miles away) is where they also ship out military vehicles...that where they keep the 2 super large military transport ships are based...

Pueblo, CO would probably make it in a counter force attack. That mustard gas at the PCAP site has all been destroyed in terms with arms reduction treatys. Of course, CF&I (Evraz) steel mill, the dam and a large railyard downtown remain possible, albeit low priority, targets in a counter value attack.

Can't say the same for the Springs, lying some 40mi north of me. Norad and Peterson field would be the city's main targets, unfortunately. COS would be gone first when the SHTF. Big ones, on the order of 20 megatons would be used for digging out Cheyenne Mountain, leading to very heavy fallout to the east.

Being down here, upon seeing a blindingly bright flash off to the north, I'd have between 3 and 5 min before the deafening "crack" from the shockwave arrived. The fallout would/could pose a significant risk, depending on wind direction and precipitation bringing it down in hot spots.
